Viv McGrath – Chief Executive of Redback - is a highly respected Documentary and Drama-Doc Executive Producer and Showrunner, with a solid reputation for delivering high quality programmes and high rating 'hit' shows, to all the major UK and many US broadcasters. She has a strong sense of storytelling and how to bring out the maximum drama and emotion out of any film she produces, regardless of genre.
She now lives in Shanghai, China, and has set up Redback Productions with the aim of using her extensive experience and global network of contacts to help bridge the gap betweenn Asia (including China) and the West. It's a move back to the region, after a very successful ten years in the UK.
Prior to the UK Viv spent 7 years based in HK, where she ran her own independent news bureau – one that represented networks across the globe. She was also a Foreign Correspondent for Seven Network Australia and later ran the Fox News Asia Bureau, covering major newsworthy events.
Viv has strong relationships with a wide range of Commissioning Editors and Channel Controllers, both within UK and US Broadcasters and is highly respected by her peers within the UK production industry. She is currently working on a number of Documentary and Drama-Doc projects for UK and US Broadcasters.
